Long Term Residents
It is our goal at Tri-Lakes Humane Society to find good homes for our cats and dogs as quickly as possible. We love having these furry creatures and taking care of them until they can find a forever home but the goal is to get them placed in a loving home. Usually these creatures are adopted fairly quickly but sometimes we have animals that take a little longer to find the right family. The animals featured on this page have been at the shelter for over 9 months and we wanted to highlight them to let you know the attributes of these great animals. Please come into the shelter to meet and get to know this lovable animals. Once you do, you are going to want to make them a part of your home.
Special Priced Animals
These animals that have been in the shelter for entirely too long so we are going to offer them to good homes for half price. The dogs have an adoption fee of $50 and the cats will have an adoption fee of $42.50.
These other animals have all been in the shelter for more than 9 months as well and they need a forever home. You can take them home at our regular adoption rates.
Hank is a 5 year old male Mastiff mix. This guy was owner relinquished. You can tell this guy is all dog by just watching him strut his stuff. He is definitely an alpha dog and will probably do best as an only dog in a household with no children. This handsome guy is ready for a forever home.
Sage is a 3 year old female Rottweiler/Chow Chow mix. Sage and Clover were owner relinquished. These two girls did not like the camera at all but their tails were wagging constantly. They also both like belly rubs. Sage is very sweet and attentive. She has been spayed and is house trained. Come and meet your new best friend.

Hansel is a 1 year old male. He came in with his sister Gretel (adopted) as a stray but this guy is just so charismatic. He has been neutered and vaccinated. He rules the roost at the shelter wandering around and checking out all his buddies. Hansel needs to go to a home without any other cats, where he will be an indoor cat. Those hypnotizing eyes are going to put a spell on you so be prepared to take him home.
Tot is a 1 year old male who came in with two other cats (already adopted). The owner had too many cats and had to give these guys up. Tot is still a little shy but is getting more comfortable with the staff. Tot is going to make someone a great lap cat. He has been neutered and vaccinated and is ready to go to a forever home.
Elsi is a 9 month old male (this is not a mistake). He is a little timid but very very sweet. His owner had too many cats so Elsi ended up at the shelter. This orange and white beauty loves to be petted and is a curious guy who wants to check out everything. He has been neutered and vaccinated. This guy will make a great addition to your family.
