Long Term Residents

‚ÄčIt is our goal at Tri-Lakes Humane Society to find good homes for our cats and dogs as quickly as possible.  We love having these furry creatures and taking care of them until they can find a forever home but the goal is to get them placed in a loving home.  Usually these creatures are adopted fairly quickly but sometimes we have animals that take a little longer to find the right family.  The animals featured on this page have been at the shelter for over 6 months and we wanted to highlight them to let you know the attributes of these great animals.  Please come into the shelter to meet and get to know this lovable animals. Once you do, you are going to want to make them a part of your home.

Special Priced Animals

These animals that have been in the shelter for entirely too long so we are going to offer them to good homes for half price.  The dogs have an adoption fee of $45 and the cats will have an adoption fee of $37.50.

Coffee, Carileen, Kiara, & Hansel

Coffee is a 1.5 year old male Chow Chow/Boxer mix.  His beautiful coloring makes him very distinctive.  He was a stray but this guy is so sweet and loving.  He weighs in a little over 50 lbs and is very well behaved.  He does well on a leash and is ready to go home with you.

Carileen is a 2 year old female Lab/Hound mix.  She was owner relinquished due owners health issues.  This beauty is great with people and is a favorite of the staff.  She loves to be out in the yard with her buddies and just need to find a home willing to love her.

Kiara is the prettiest silver tabby who was found near Reeds Spring Pizza with her litter of three kittens. She is 1 year old and has been spayed and had her shots. She is friendly and will be a great addition to your family.  She was a good mother but now she is ready to be a young carefree cat.  Come in and meet this pretty girl.

Hansel came in with his sister Gretel (adopted) as a stray but  this little kitten is just so charismatic.  He is 1 year old and has been neutered and vaccinated.  He rules the roost at the shelter wandering around and checking out all his buddies.  Hansel needs to go to a home without any other cats.where he will be an indoor cat.  Those hypnotizing eyes are going to put a spell on you so be prepared to take him home.

These other animals have all been in the shelter for more than 6 months as well and they need a forever home.  You can take them home at our regular adoption rates.

Spirit is a 2 year old female Hound mix.  She just loves to be petted.  She is just as wonderful as can be.  She is house trained.  This full grown babe is fairly compact, just the right size.  She will be so fun to take for walks and will love you so much for giving her a home.

Hank is a 5 year old male Mastiff mix.  This guy was owner relinquished.  You can tell this guy is all dog by just watching him strut his stuff.  He is definitely an alpha dog and will probably do best as an only dog in a household with no children.  This handsome guy is ready for a forever home.

Jazzy is a 1 year old female Hound mix.  Her owner had to give her up due to the owner's health issues.  This bab is sleek and lovely.  She is a little nervous with new people but warms up quickly.  Come to the shelter and check out this beautiful lady.
