Occasionally we hear from some of our past residents and/or their new person with all those good stories we love!  If you would like your adoption experience to be included on this SUCCESS STORIES page, either send us your story via email at pets4u@centurylink.net or our facebook page TriLakesHumaneSociety.  If you would like to include a picture, we love to see  those and will post here, too!  Please let us know if it's okay to post if there is a family member included.

We will add each new story at the top of this page - when we get to 10 per page then the bottom stories will drop off :)  But we're sure that will give lots of people plenty of time to read all the happy stories!

We hope to hear from you all soon!!!

SMOKEY & HANNAH sent us this update!  Their new persons were on a trip to Southern Missouri from Nebraska, and stopped at our shelter looking for an Irish Wolfhound or a dog similar.  Instead they met Smokey & Hannah and fell in love.  BTW, they are Catahoula Leopard Dog/German Shepherd Dog mix :)  Their first person brought them to the shelter because he was an over-the-road truck driver and felt he couldn't spend enough time with them.  Well, that was 6-1/2 years ago and they are about to celebrate their 11th birthdays, and still going strong.  They and their "new" :) persons couldn't be happier!

TRUDY sent us this "selfie" and  this picture of her and her new BIG Brother!  She also sent us a personal note:  Dear Tri-Lakes, I just wanted to send you a note and thank you for taking such good care of me.  My family is great!  My big brother Gorden and I are still trying to figure each other out, but we're getting there.  My humans are very nice and I'm getting pretty good at letting them know when I need to go out.  I like shoes a lot, but so far I haven't done any serious damage :)  I have lots of room to run around and I've been promised we can walk down to the lake once it warms up.  Life is good!  Thanks again for everything!  Love, Trudy

FU MAN CHU has found his furrever home and he and new family couldn't be happier.  They love him tremendously.  Said he still has a little bit of that "cattitude", but that's what makes him so special!

JOJO has a new little boy to call her own.   He gave her a bath right after she got home and then they watched t.v. together.  She loves her new puppy brother and gets along with the neighbor's cats that sometimes she has to help take care of.  JoJo loves her new home and her family loves her!

PINSCH is now known as 'B' (for BLESSING) made the trip to Nebraska perfectly!  She gets along with her new cat siblings and the little blind old dog is her new best friend.  She especially loves her new dad and loves to sleep on the couch right next to him while he watches t.v.  What a lucky girl!!!

QUINCY (now spelled QUINCIE) and QUINT (PICTURES GOT DELETED :() got adopted into the same family - how fun is that!  Quincie has adapted to her new home fabulously, although her older kitty sister wasn't too thrilled in the beginning.  Quincie and her new Dad have become great napping partners!  Quint lives in a different house, but the siblings get to play together a lot!  Quint is such a lover, kisses and hugs are abundant with this little man!  His new older sister is elderly, but has taken to him and even has started to help with the potty training!  They are both great additions to their entire families, no matter which house they are at :)

SADIE loves to play ball  SADIE loves to sleep with her persons  SADIE loves to lay on the grandchildren's toys and blankets :)  Looks and sounds like Sadie is part of the family and very much loved.  She was adopted from the Tri-Lakes Humane Society about 5 years ago.  We love "SUCCESS STORIES" :)!

KNICK-KNACK now just callked KNICK loves his new place and his new family is really enjoying him!  They said he is doing very well and that he is very obedient and loving AND that he is just a "big ol' lap dog"! :)

FAIRY just went home a few days ago  but her family says she is already proving to be the perfect dog for them.  She was very busy surveying her new yard and approved so much she decided to take a nap right in the middle of her yard, laying in the sun :)  She also has her own bale of straw which she turned into a pile of straw, perfect for hiding her new toys and bones!

LEXY a/k/a MAGGIE is doing GREAT!  She's so smart, sweet and loving!  Her new family is so happy they came to the Tri-Lakes Humane Society and adopted Maggie!  (We can tell she's a happy girl there in the car, just look at that smile :) !)
