Welcome to the Tri-Lakes Humane Society!

The Hill is Sliding Down on Us!

As you may or may not know, our Shelter is built into a steep hill and last winter in the heavy rains, earth started sliding down.  We need to do some urgent work to stop it sliding and flooding this year.  All donations towards this will be gratefully received.  Please mark your checks/PayPal donations "Hill Slide".

Thank you

'PETS OF THE MONTH'

November Cat of the Month is Tobi

Tobi is a 4 year old male black and gray Tabby with wide and wise owl-like eyes. With those beautiful eyes he observes and mirrors the world around him and is very sensitive to human emotion. If you are happy, he is happy! He loves gentle touch and loves to talk but isn't much of a lap cat.

He gets along well with some other cats and humans that are calm, quiet and gentle. He seems to maybe have a preference to female cats because he has been bullied by the boys in the past. He is curious and kind towards children but doesn't like to be grabbed at or held. He doesn't like dogs probably because he doesn't want to be bothered by them.

We hope you will consider giving this awesome boy a good country home where he can roam and be free to explore and observe the world around him.

Our November Dogs of the month are Sage & Clover!

 Clover  Sage

Clover and Sage are 3 year old female Chow Chow/Labrador Retriever mixes.  They came to the shelter through owner relinquish.  These two littermates are smart as whips.  They are pretty mild but will do great as either indoor or outdoor dogs.  They were very nervous when they first came to the shelter but have acclimated well and are very friendly.  They will do well with kids and other dogs.  They don't need to be adopted together but if you have room for these two lovelies that would be great.

Dog Walking Area

The Table Rock Lake Community Foundation gave Tri-Lake Humane Society a grant to clear and build a dog walking area on our land.  Previously, there wasn't really a safe place for volunteers to walk our dogs.  This new area is fenced in and wooded and has mulch pathways.  We are very grateful and the dogs will have a more pleasant experience during their stay at the shelter.
